transgender healthcare shouldn’t just be free it should be accessible as fuck like you should be able to ask your gp or doctor or whatever you’d like to try hormones and they should be able to explain to you all your options and all their risks and side effects and things to look out for. it should take at most a month between asking for hormones and receiving them. we should trans as many genders as possible

small update on my health situation: i was able to get my colonoscopy/endoscopy performed, and it showed a lot of issues including inflammation, diverticulitis, intestinal metaplasia, disruptions in the mucosal lining of my stomach, a hiatal hernia, and other issues. i initally had a follow-up within one week to talk to my GI specialist about what to do. however, she was conveniently “out of the office” that day and needed to reschedule.
they rescheduled my appointment for march of 2026. you read that right. march of 2026. it’s currently september of 2025. she has done this every. single. time. i’ve needed a follow-up after an appointment where something important was discovered. i’m not exaggerating. this has happened every single time, and well- do you see now why she has such a long backlog?
we have professionals that are literally jumping through hoops to avoid helping their patients. my pain has been getting worse and so has my fatigue and exhaustion. it’s been hard to eat enough, as nausea has been coming more and more frequently. i have a nurse who is helping me try to get on a cancellation waitlist, as well as some medication for the time being. i swear, medical professionals need to be monitored for this type of behavior. this is malpractice. this is intentional. it’s obvious. it’s not funny, or cute. do your job or get a different one.
